Peru is set to see an increase in zinc imports and exports over the next five years. In 2021, the country imported $8.1 million worth of zinc, placing it 73rd in the world. Latvia ranked ahead with $8.1 million, while the United States, Germany and Belgium were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Meanwhile, Peru's zinc exports are projected to reach $1.1 billion by 2026, up from $939.6 million in 2021 - a 2.8% year-on-year CAGR. Since 1997, exports have increased 10% annually. The Netherlands topped the 2021 ranking, with Belgium, Canada and Australia following at numbers 2, 3 and 4.
