Maltese zinc imports are projected to drop from $361,310 in 2021 to around $300,000 by 2026. Over the past two decades, the country's demand for zinc has risen by just half a percent each year. In 2021, it was the 110th biggest importer of the metal, with Ivory Coast coming ahead of it. The United States, Germany and Belgium were the next biggest importers. Maltese zinc exports, on the other hand, are expected to rise to $63,720 by 2026. Since 2000, the country's supply of the metal has grown by 15.9% every year. In 2021, it was the 96th biggest exporter, with Antigua and Barbuda leading the way. Belgium, Canada and Australia were the biggest exporters after that.
