Romanian zinc imports are set to reach $169 million by 2026, according to research. The figure was $141 million in 2021, an increase of 3.1% per year since 1994. Romania ranked 23rd in 2021, behind the Czech Republic at $141 million. The United States, Germany, and Belgium took the second, third and fourth spots in the ranking respectively. Romanian zinc exports totalled $6 million in 2018, up 43% from the $4.2 million in 2017. Since 1996, Romanian supply has increased 3.9% annually. The country ranked 45th in 2018, behind Uganda at $6 million. Belgium, Canada, and Australia took the second, third and fourth spots in the ranking respectively.
