In 2021, Moldavia was the 93rd biggest zinc exporter with $72 million, behind Benin at $73 million. Belgium, Canada and Australia were the second, third and fourth-largest exporters, respectively. Meanwhile, Moldavian zinc imports are forecast to grow by 0.4% each year until 2026, having dropped by 0.6% since 1999. In 2021, Moldavia was the 108th biggest zinc importer with $398 million, behind Palestine at $399 million. The United States, Germany and Belgium were the second, third and fourth-largest importers, respectively.
