Iran's zinc imports dropped 3.4% in 2021 compared to the previous year, with the country now ranking 85th in the world. In total, Iran imported $3.2 million worth of zinc in 2021, while El Salvador was the top importer at $3.2 million. The United States, Germany and Belgium followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. On the other hand, Iranian zinc exports are expected to increase by 3% year on year on average, reaching $459 million by 2026. This is an 11.1% increase since 2002. In 2021, Iran ranked 17th in the world for zinc exports, with the United Arab Emirates overtaking at $385 million. Belgium, Canada and Australia followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
