In 2021, the country ranked 88th, with Macedonia overtaking it at $118 million. Belgium, Canada and Australia took the second, third and fourth spots, respectively. Meanwhile, Cypriot zinc imports are projected to fall 13.3% year-on-year to $115 million by 2026. Since 1994, demand for the mineral has dropped 17.1%. In 2021, the country was 111th, with Malta overtaking it at $257 million. The United States, Germany and Belgium were the second, third and fourth biggest importers, respectively.
