Malaysian goat production is predicted to dip slightly by 2026. According to estimates, the number of goats in Malaysia is expected to drop from 36,420 heads in 2021 to nearly 35,000 in 2026. The average yearly decline over the past five decades has been 2.7%. In 2021, Malaysia ranked 95th in the world for goat production. South Korea came ahead of the country at 36,420 heads. China, Nigeria and Pakistan took the number two, three and four spots in the ranking, respectively.
