The import of urea to Kenya dropped 3.6% in 2018 compared to 2017, reaching 74 million kilograms. This is the lowest level since 1997, when the demand was down 9%. On the other hand, Kenyan urea export increased by an impressive 148.4% in 2018, reaching 13 million kilograms. The country came in 50th place in this ranking, overtaken by the Czech Republic. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran respectively came in second, third and fourth place. Since 2003, Kenyan supply has grown by 65.9%.
