Brazilian urea imports are expected to reach 5.1 billion kilograms by 2026, an increase of 2.2% on the 4.5 billion kilograms imported in 2021. Since 1994, Brazilian demand has grown by an average of 2.5% each year. In 2021, India was the top importer of urea, followed by Brazil, Thailand and then India. Brazilian urea exports, however, are set to drop from 15.1 million kilograms in 2021 to 9.8 million kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 7.2% on average annually. Since 1994, Brazilian supplies have declined by 11.9% each year. In 2021, Portugal was the top exporter of urea, followed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran.
