Uganda's exports of urea are projected to decrease by nearly 6% to 47,000 kilograms by 2026, from 65,000 in 2021. Since 2000, Ugandan supply has increased 17% annually. In 2021, Uganda was ranked 81st, with Nigeria overtaking it. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran held the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively. Meanwhile, Ugandan imports of urea are set to reach 17 million kilograms by 2026, up from 14 million in 2021. Since 1999, Ugandan demand has grown 8% each year. In 2021, Madagascar overtook Uganda, which was ranked 79th. India, Brazil and Thailand held the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
