Demand for urea imports in Madagascar is expected to reach 16.8 million kilograms by 2026. This represents a 2.6% increase each year since 2021, when the country imported 14.4 million kilograms. Since 1995, Malagasy demand for urea has grown by an average of 5.1% each year. In 2021, Madagascar ranked 78th in terms of imports, with Suriname overtaking the country. India, Brazil and Thailand were the top three importers, in that order.
