Kazakhstan's export of urea fell by nearly 30% in 2021, to about 500,000 kilograms. This is the lowest level since 2007, when it was 48% lower than in 2021. Uruguay was the country's top exporter, followed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran. Kazakhstan's import of urea is expected to grow by around 4% annually in the next five years, reaching 47 million kilograms in 2026. The country was ranked 69th in 2021, with Belarus ahead. India, Brazil and Thailand were the top three importers.
