In 2021, Nicaragua was the 53rd largest importer, behind Switzerland's 80.7 million kilograms. India, Brazil, and Thailand rounded out the top four. Nicaragua's urea exports dropped by nearly 40% in 2017, to 400,000 kilograms. This was compared to the 652,510 kilograms exported in 2016.
