Greece is set to see the import of urea grow by 2.6% year on year to 341 million kilograms in 2026, up from 292 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1993, Greek urea demand has increased by 2.7% year on year. In 2021, Greece was ranked 30th in the world, with Ukraine leading the way at 292 million kilograms. India, Brazil and Thailand were the second, third and fourth-largest importers, respectively. Meanwhile, Greek urea exports are set to reach 42 million kilograms by 2026 – a 3.7% year on year growth from 33 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1994, Greek urea supply has grown 6.9% year on year. In 2021, Greece was ranked 40th in the world, with Japan leading the way at 33 million kilograms. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran were the second, third and fourth-largest exporters, respectively.
