The demand for fixed line subscribers in Rwanda is set to decline significantly over the next five years. In 2021, the number of subscribers in the country was estimated to be 10,330, but by 2026, this is projected to drop to 4,280—a decrease of 13.7% each year. Since 1965, the demand has decreased by an average of 5.1% each year. That same year, Rwanda ranked 171st in the world, with Equatorial Guinea surpassing them in subscribers. In 2021, the United States, Japan, and Germany took the top three spots, respectively.
