The fixed line subscriber base in Pakistan is expected to decrease by 3.5% year on year over the next five years, according to a new report. In 2021, the country was ranked 45th in the world with 2.8 million subscribers. Syria was ranked ahead with 2.8 million subscribers, while the United States, Japan and Germany were the top three countries with the most fixed line subscribers. Since 1965, fixed line subscribers have been declining in Pakistan by 2% year on year. The report predicts that by 2026, the total number of subscribers in the country is expected to reach about 2.2 million.
