Poland's solar energy consumption is poised for substantial growth, projected to hit 0.31 Exajoules by 2028, up from 0.12 Exajoules in 2023. This marks an impressive average annual growth rate of approximately 15%. Since 2020, the demand for solar energy in Poland has surged by over 107% annually. In 2023, Poland ranked seventh globally in solar energy consumption, trailing the United Kingdom, which also consumed around 0.12 Exajoules. Leading the ranking were Spain, Italy, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. The country's solar capacity is also set to expand significantly, with expectations to reach 33,280 Megawatts by 2028, up from 14,900 Megawatts in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of about 12%. Since 2016, Poland's solar supply has increased by nearly 93% per year. In the 2023 global rankings for solar capacity, Poland again held the seventh position. The United Kingdom, with the same capacity of 14,900 Megawatts, was ahead, while the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
