Czech Solar Energy Consumption is projected to reach approximately 0.02 Exajoules by 2028, up from the same figure in 2023, marking a modest annual growth rate of 0.9%. This steady demand has been observed since 2014. In 2023, the Czech Republic ranked 17th globally in solar energy consumption, trailing behind Russia, which also reported 0.02 Exajoules. Leading the rankings were Spain, Italy, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. On the capacity front, Czech solar capacity is expected to grow from around 2,730 Megawatts in 2023 to 3,260 Megawatts by 2028, reflecting an annual average growth rate of 2.8%. Since 2005, the country's solar supply has seen a more significant year-on-year increase of 5.6%. In the 2023 rankings, the Czech Republic held the 17th spot, with Hungary surpassing it with an identical capacity of 2,730 Megawatts. The top spots were claimed by the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, ranking second, third, and fourth, respectively.
