Thailand's solar capacity is projected to reach approximately 3,160 megawatts by 2028, a modest increase from the current 3,090 megawatts in 2023. This equates to an average annual growth rate of 0.4%. Since 2011, the country's solar supply has grown at an average annual rate of 0.8%. On the consumption side, Thailand's solar energy usage is expected to stabilize at around 0.04 exajoules by 2028, maintaining the same level as in 2023. However, this represents an average annual decline of 2.9% in consumption. Despite this projected decrease, solar energy demand in Thailand has seen an average annual increase of 0.9% since 2015.
