Uganda's wool exports are on the rise and are projected to reach $5,900 by 2026. This is a 0.9% year-on-year increase since 2012, when the country's output was 18.7% higher than it had been the year before. In 2021, Uganda was in 99th place for wool exports, as Burkina Faso overtook it with $5,590. China, Italy and Germany took the top three spots respectively. Uganda's wool imports, meanwhile, are set to reach $37,300 by 2026. This is a 2.7% year-on-year increase since 1999, when the country's demand had jumped by 42.1%. In 2021, Uganda was 115th in this ranking, as Antigua and Barbuda overtook it with $31,860. Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom were the top three countries in this ranking, respectively.
