Kazakhstan's wool exports are expected to drop 23.6% between 2021 and 2026, from $3.96 million to just under $1 million. This modest growth of 0.3% each year since 2005 contrasts with the 25.4% annual increase in wool imports over the same period, from $9.5 million in 2021 to $11.8 million in 2026. Kazakhstan ranked 55th in the world for exports in 2021, behind Singapore at $3.96 million, and 63rd for imports, lagging behind Kuwait at $9.5 million. China, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom occupied the top four positions in both rankings.
