Indonesia's imports of wool are projected to reach $158 million by 2026. This is a 2.3% year-on-year growth from 2021, when the country imported $138 million. Since 1994, Indonesia's demand for wool has decreased by 1.3% year-on-year. Portugal overtook Indonesia in 2021, coming in at number 14 with $138 million. Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom came in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. In 2018, Indonesia's exports of wool totalled $670 million, down 37% from $1.06 billion in 2017. Since 1994, Indonesian wool supply has decreased by nearly 30% year-on-year. The country came in at number 69 in 2018, with Oman overtaking Indonesia at $670 million. China, Italy and Germany respectively ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4.
