Serbia is set to become a major player in the global wool market by 2026. Imports to the country are forecast to reach $23 million, while exports are expected to total $2.7 million. Since 2010, demand for wool in Serbia has grown 8.5% year-on-year. In 2021, it ranked 48th in the world for wool imports, with Cambodia ahead at $21.6 million. Italy, Germany and the UK ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Serbia's wool exports are expected to decline to $2.7 million by 2026. This marks a 2.8% year-on-year CAGR drop since 2010. In 2021, the country was 58th in the world for wool exports, with Iceland ahead at $3.2 million. China, Italy and Germany were second, third and fourth, respectively.
