Costa Rica surpassed Peru with exports valued at approximately $540,000. Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the import front, Peru's newspaper imports are projected to fall to roughly $437,000 in 2023, a sharp decline from about $626,000 in 2022. This marks a significant drop of 30.2% compared to the previous year. Since 1997, the country's demand for imported newspapers has plummeted by an average of 22.4% annually.
