This marks a sharp 35.6% decrease compared to the previous year. Since 1993, the Swiss supply of newspapers has decreased by an annual average of 23.7%. In the global ranking for 2023, Switzerland fell to the 31st position. China surpassed Switzerland with the same export value of around $6.4 million. Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots, respectively. Swiss Newspaper Imports Projected to Decline Swiss newspaper imports are projected to decrease to approximately $135 million by 2028, down from around $190 million in 2023. This represents an average annual decline of 5.5%. Since 1993, the demand for newspapers in Switzerland has decreased annually by 5.8%.
