The country's demand has been growing at an average annual rate of 2.5% since 1975, and in 2021 it came in at 34th place in the rankings, with 130.45 million metric tons. Colombia had the highest demand at the same time, while India, Brazil and the United States came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
