Spain is set to become a major player in the international propane market by 2026. According to the latest figures, imports are projected to reach 2.1 billion kilograms, up 2.6% from 2021. This represents a 5.1% year-on-year growth since 1994. Brazil currently tops the list with 1.8 billion kilograms, followed by the US, Japan and Mexico. Exports are also set to rise, reaching 311.8 million kilograms by 2026. This is an increase of 3.2% compared to 2021 and a 10.4% year-on-year rise since 1994. Sweden currently leads the way with 253.4 million kilograms, followed by Canada, Algeria and Russia.
