In 2021, the UK was ranked 11th, behind the Netherlands which accounted for 833 million kilograms. Canada, Algeria, and Russia followed as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th biggest exporters. Meanwhile, propane imports to the UK are predicted to grow by 1.6% each year, from 498 million kilograms in 2021 to almost 500 million kilograms by 2026. This marks a 7.5% decrease since 1998. In 2021, the UK was ranked 25th, behind Portugal which accounted for 447 million kilograms. The US, Japan, and Mexico followed as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th biggest importers.
