China is set to become the world’s biggest importer and exporter of gas turbines by 2026. Imports are projected to reach $9.3 billion, a 3.1% year-on-year growth since 1997. Japan was the largest importer in 2021 at $7.7 billion, followed by the United Kingdom, France and Singapore. Exports are projected to reach $5.0 billion in 2026, a 2.9% year-on-year growth since 1997. The Netherlands was the largest exporter in 2021 at $4.2 billion, followed by France, Singapore and Germany.
