Japan is set to become one of the world's largest importers of gas turbines, with imports projected to reach $8.9 billion by 2026. In 2021, Japan ranked 6th with $7.7 billion, while Germany topped the list with $7.7 billion. The United Kingdom, France and Singapore followed in the rankings. Exports of gas turbines from Japan are also expected to rise to $6.1 billion by 2026, compared to $5.4 billion in 2021. Since 1993, exports have been increasing at an average rate of 3.3% year on year. In 2021, Canada was the top exporter with $5.4 billion, followed by France, Singapore and Germany.
