Sri Lanka's import and export of gas turbines are expected to grow steadily in the coming years. Imports are projected to reach around $55 million by 2026, up 0.8% year on year, while exports are expected to jump 4.2% to $21 million. Since 1999, Sri Lankan demand for gas turbines has increased by 4% each year on average. The country was ranked 62nd in 2021, behind Luxembourg, which imported $52.4 million. The UK, France and Singapore followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Sri Lanka's export of gas turbines has seen even more impressive growth; since 2004, the country's supply has increased 66.6% year on year. In 2021, it ranked 55th, with Oman coming in ahead at $16.1 million. France, Singapore and Germany came in at second, third and fourth place, respectively.
