Burundi's herbicide imports are set to increase by an average of 3.3% year-on-year until 2026, according to data released this week. In 2021, the nation imported 85,200 kilograms of herbicide - up from 68,950 kilograms in the previous year. This marks a 22.5% increase since 1998. Burundi was the 125th largest importer of herbicides in 2021. Albania was the largest, followed by Brazil, Nigeria and the United States in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
