Egypt's herbicide exports are on the rise. In 2021, exports reached 132,410 kilograms, up 0.7% from the year before. Since 2006, exports have grown 1.2% on average each year. Egypt ranked 72nd in the world for exports in 2021, just behind Senegal. The United States, Belgium and France were the top three countries for herbicide exports. Imports of herbicides have also increased. In 2021, Egypt imported 3,784,300 kilograms, up 1.7% from the year before. Since 1999, imports have grown 1.5% on average each year. Egypt was 75th in the world for imports in 2021, just behind Burkina Faso. Brazil, Nigeria and the United States were the top three countries for imports.
