Guyanese imports of herbicide dropped sharply in 2021, falling by nearly 25% from the 392,200 kilograms imported in 2020 to just over 294,000 kilograms. Since 1997, Guyanese imports of herbicides have decreased by 12.3% year-on-year. In 2021, Guyana ranked 111th in herbicide imports, with Armenia leading the way with 294,670 kilograms. Brazil, Nigeria and the United States placed second, third and fourth respectively.
