Canadian herbicide consumption is predicted to reach around 68,000 metric tons by 2026, growing by 1% year-on-year. This is a slight drop from the 2013 figure of 68,500 metric tons. Canada came in fourth place in 2021, with 63,810 metric tons, behind Argentina, Australia, and the Netherlands. Exports of Canadian herbicides are expected to drop by 0.6% year-on-year to reach around 4.9 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 11.3% decrease from the 1994 figure of 5.1 million kilograms. Canada came in 32nd place in 2021, behind the United States, Belgium and France.
