Since 1999, yearly exports have decreased by 0.8%. Mexico topped the list in 2021, followed by the United States, Belgium and France. Meanwhile, imports of herbicides in Costa Rica are projected to reach 8.5 million kilograms by 2026, up from 7.6 million kilograms in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.7%. Since 1999, demand has risen by 0.9%. Guatemala led the rankings in 2021, and was followed by Brazil, Nigeria and the United States.
