Iceland's consumption and import of herbicides both dropped significantly in 2021 compared to the previous year. Consumption decreased by 33.8%, while import fell by 4%. Since 2004 and 1993 respectively, consumption and import were down by 33.3% and 0.9%. Malta and Lesotho respectively overtook Iceland in consumption and import, with Argentina, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Nigeria and the United States following them in the rankings.
