Consumption of herbicides in Slovakia is set to reach 1,230 metric tons by 2026, according to a recent report. The country was ranked 26th in 2021, with 1,210 metric tons of consumption, an increase of 2.2% since 2016. Sweden was ahead, followed by Argentina, Australia and Canada in the rankings. Slovak herbicide import is expected to reach 6 million kilograms by 2026, a 1.3% year-on-year average growth. Slovakia held the 65th ranking in 2021, with 5.5 million kilograms of imports. El Salvador was ahead, followed by Brazil, Nigeria and the United States. In 2018, Slovak herbicide exports were close to 210,250 kilograms, an increase of 19.2% from the previous year, and a 31.8% rise since 1999. Slovakia was 63rd in the rankings, with Luxembourg ahead at 210,250 kilograms. The United States, Belgium and France followed in the rankings.
