Saudi Arabia is set to become a major exporter of herbicides by 2026, with exports reaching 441,020 kilograms, a 1.4% year-on-year increase from 2021's 406,150 kilograms. This growth rate of 8.8% annually since 1996 has seen the country rise to 54th in the world rankings, overtaking Iran. The US, Belgium and France make up the top three, respectively. Meanwhile, Saudi imports of herbicides are expected to drop by 16.3% year-on-year to 444,450 kilograms by 2026, compared to 1,205,200 kilograms in 2021. This decrease of 16.6% since 1996 has seen the country drop to 97th in the world rankings, lagging behind Angola. Brazil, Nigeria and the US are the top three importers, respectively.
