By 2026, Filipina import of herbicides is projected to reach 29.6 million kg. This represents an average yearly growth rate of 3.4% since 2021, when it stood at 23.9 million kg, making the country the 30th largest importer in the world. Romania had overtaken the Philippines in 2021. Brazil, Nigeria and the United States were the second, third and fourth largest importers, respectively. Filipina herbicide export was close to 168,000 kg in 2018, up 42.9% from the previous year. Since 2001, this figure has decreased by 23.5% on average every year. In 2018, the Philippines was in 69th place, with Nicaragua taking the lead with 168,000 kg. The United States, Belgium and France were the second, third and fourth top exporters, respectively.
