The import of Kenyan Polyamides surged by 59.6%, reaching 163,910 kilograms in 2018. This was an increase from 102,680 kilograms in 2017. Despite this impressive growth, demand has decreased by 10.2% year-on-year since 1997. Last year, Malta overtook the country to claim 73rd place in the ranking. China, India, and the United States were the top three importers. Kenyan Polyamides exports experienced an even more dramatic increase in 2018. Over the course of the year, the country shipped 12,880 kilograms, a staggering 363.5% increase from 2,780 kilograms the year before. Since 2002, exports have risen by 3% year-on-year. Bosnia and Herzegovina surpassed Kenya in the rankings, taking 60th place. The United States, Italy, and the Netherlands were the primary destinations.
