Sales of French polyamides fell by 12.3% in 2021, to around 16.5 million kilograms, from 18.8 million kilograms in 2020. Since 2011, the French market has increased by 4.8% year-on-year. French polyamides imports are expected to reach 44 million kilograms by 2026, up 1.4% year-on-year on average, from 39.9 million kilograms in 2021. Since 1999, French demand has grown by 0.5% year-on-year. France placed seventh in 2021, behind Belgium with 39.9 million kilograms. China, India, and the United States came second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively. French polyamides exports are forecast to reach 51.1 million kilograms by 2026, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 3.8% year-on-year, from 40.3 million kilograms in 2021. Since 2010, French supply has grown by 24.9% year-on-year. The country ranked seventh in 2021, with Belgium overtaking at 40.3 million kilograms. The United States, Italy, and the Netherlands came second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively.
