Uruguay's polyamides import is set to decline slightly in the coming years. According to projections, it will drop by 0.4% year-on-year, from 111,510 kilograms in 2021 to 112,750 kilograms in 2026. This follows a 5.5% year-on-year decrease in demand since 1999. In 2021, Uruguay ranked 76th in the world, behind Macedonia, which imported 112,750 kilograms of polyamides. China, India and the United States came in second, third and fourth in the rankings, respectively. In 2018, Uruguay was 67th in the rankings, behind Luxembourg, which imported 5,040 kilograms of polyamides. The United States, Italy and the Netherlands were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
