New Zealand's imports of polyamides dropped 19% in 2021, down to around 181,000 kg, compared to 223,660 kg in 2020. This marks a 15.7% decrease since 1994. Kuwait overtook New Zealand to become the 71st largest importer of polyamides in 2021. China, India and the United States took the top three spots in the ranking. Exports of polyamides from New Zealand dropped 89.8% in 2018, plummeting from 35,800 kg in 2017 to just 3,640 kg. This marks a 61.6% decrease since 1994. Ireland overtook New Zealand to become the 68th largest exporter of polyamides in 2018 with the United States, Italy and the Netherlands taking the top three spots in the ranking.
