Icelander imports of polyamides jumped 65.4% in 2018, reaching 622 tonnes. This is a significant increase compared to the 376 tonnes imported in 2017. Since 1993, demand for polyamides in Iceland has risen steadily, with an average annual growth rate of 26.9%. The Bahamas topped the rankings in 2018, importing 622 tonnes of polyamides. China, India and the United States followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
