Iran's polyamides imports are set to drop by 5.5% a year on average to 970,110 kilograms by 2026, from 1,330,000 kilograms in 2021. The country's demand for the product has fallen by 11% a year since 2002 and was ranked 47th in 2021, behind South Africa at 1,330,000 kilograms. China, India, and the United States followed in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively. Iran's polyamides exports surged 526.5% in 2017, to 8,770 kilograms from 1,400 kilograms in 2016. Since 2006, the country's supply has decreased by 15.5% annually.
