Lebanon is set to see a decrease in polyamides imports over the next five years, from 242,000 kilograms in 2021 to a projected 220,000 kilograms in 2026. This reflects a 1.8% year-on-year average decrease since 2002, when imports were 6.9% lower than the previous year. Lebanon ranked 69th in 2021, behind New Zealand. China, India and the US were the top three importers respectively. Exports of polyamides from Lebanon are projected to grow over the next five years, from 8,150 kilograms in 2021 to an estimated 9,880 kilograms in 2026. This is equivalent to an average 3% growth rate year-on-year since 2007, when exports were 84.6% higher than the previous year. Lebanon was ranked 61st in 2021, behind Kenya. The US, Italy and the Netherlands were the top three exporters respectively.
