Brazil's import of manganese is expected to reach 17.4 million kilograms by 2026, growing at an average rate of 1.8% a year. Since 1994, the country's demand has grown by an average of 2.1% annually. In 2021, Brazil was ranked 10th in the world for manganese imports, with France overtaking it at 15.6 million kilograms. Japan, Russia and India took the top three spots in the ranking. Brazil's export of manganese totalled just 2 kilograms in 2018, down from 20,490 kilograms in 2017, a drop of 100%. Since 1994, the country's supply has declined by 84.6% each year. In 2018, Brazil ranked 49th in the world for manganese exports, with Namibia coming in first with 2 kilograms. The Netherlands, South Korea and Kazakhstan followed in the rankings.
