Canadian exports of manganese are projected to drop by 26.2% to 74,560 kilograms in 2026 from 415,600 kilograms in 2021. On an average yearly basis, the export rate has been decreasing by 21.8% since 1994. In 2021, Canada was the 25th largest exporter of manganese, with Portugal taking the lead at 415,600 kilograms. The Netherlands, South Korea and Kazakhstan followed as the second, third and fourth largest exporters in that ranking respectively. Imports of manganese to Canada fell 18.2% to 6,174,700 kilograms in 2019 from 7,549,000 kilograms the year before. Since 1994, the demand for the material has been increasing by an average of 3.8% yearly. The country held the 16th spot in 2019, with Italy taking the lead at 6,174,700 kilograms. Japan, Russia and India were the second, third and fourth largest importers in that ranking respectively.
