Italy is set to increase its import and export of manganese between 2021 and 2026. Imports are expected to rise by 1.2% year-on-year on average, growing from 6.8 million kilograms in 2021 to 7.3 million kilograms in 2026. This represents a 4.2% increase since 1999. Italy ranked 15th in 2021, with Mexico leading the way at 6.8 million kilograms. Japan, Russia and India came in second, third and fourth respectively. Exports are projected to grow by 3.8% year-on-year on average, from 1.8 million kilograms in 2021 to 2.2 million kilograms in 2026. This is a 15.5% increase since 1999. In 2021, Italy was ranked 13th, with France overtaking at 1.8 million kilograms. The Netherlands, South Korea and Kazakhstan came in second, third and fourth respectively.
